A GWENT family has celebrated the arrival of its fifth generation with the birth of baby Poppy-Mai Lewis.
The little girl was born on June 17 at the Royal Gwent Hospital, in Newport, weighing 5lb 3oz.
She is the first great-great grandchild for 86-year-old Gwen Edwards, from Bettws.
Mrs Edwards also has four daughters and one son, 12 grandchildren and 19 greatgrandchildren.
The five female generations include Mrs Edwards’ daughter, Gaynor Preece, 64, from Croespenmaen, her grand-daughter, Denise Lewis, 45, from Crumlin, great-grand-daughter Robyn Lewis, 20, from Newbridge, Charity calls and newborn Poppy-Mai.
