PUPILS at a Torfaen school raised hundreds of pounds for charity with a sponsored skip and dodgeball session.
Youngsters at Penygarn Primary School got active in aid of British Heart Foundation on Friday in a bid to promote healthy lifestyles.
The challenge was part of a range of initiatives set up to teach Torfaen residents about healthy lifestyles after the area was made a ‘heart’ borough. The project, which supports the BHF, aims to raise awareness of heart problems and raise money for the charity.
Pupils learn about it in classes and practice jump rope and play dodgeball during PE lessons as well.
So far the school has raised £350 for the charity, with more sponsorship money due to be collected this week.
