TOLL collectors at the Severn Bridges have voted to strike amid a row over shifts, according to the Unite union.
However action has been suspended and talks between management and union officials to resolve the dispute are underway.
Jeff Woods, of Unite, said a majority of the 70 workers in the toll booth department had voted in favour of strike action.
However he said a contentious letter that had threated disciplinary action if workers did not accept shift changes had been withdrawn, and that that the firm was talking to the union today.
