A FREIGHT train has broken down in the Severn tunnel meaning all trains to and from South Wales from England are affected.
The DB Schenker Rail train stopped at around 11.20 about a quarter of a mile from English side of the tunnel.
A locomotive has been sent from Avonmouth to rescue the stranded train and it will take at least an hour for the train to be removed.
