PONTYPOOL’S Demi Holborn has spent her life performing and has released her latest single this week.

The 20-year-old has co-written If I Could and is also working on writing and recording her debut album, which is set to be released early next year.

Demi found fame after winning a competition to perform at the Millennium Stadium in 2001 alongside the likes of Charlotte Church, S Club 7, Blue, and Atomic Kitten.

Her brother then sent a video of Demi singing to GMTV’s Totstars competition in 2002, beating 7,000 other young hopefuls to win the title.

The singer received 164,365 of the 200,000 public votes and won a recording contract with Universal and a scholarship at the Barbara Speak Stage School.

Demi went on to release her debut double A-Side single I’d Like To Teach The World To Sing/My Boy helping her become Britain’s youngest female to have a Top 40 hit at just ten years old.

She has since performed in front of thousands of people all over the UK, including at Party in the Park which featured Busted and Hear’Say.

If I Could was written with Lou Mullen and Daniel Ott and is now available to download.
