A GROUP who practise a traditional fishing method have new overalls for the hobby after a local company came on board providing sponsorship.
The Black Rock lave net fishermen's association, Portskewett, has received eight fishing smocks thanks to the generosity of Caldicot chemical manufacturer Megachem.
The eight traditional outfits will be worn by members for fishing and exhibitions which they attend.
The fishermen use lave nets in the Severn estuary to catch salmon, a method which has been practised for hundreds if not thousands of years.
Secretary of the fishermen's association, Martin Morgan, said he was "proud and grateful" members had been helped by a local firm.
Megachem managing director Gary Foster said the fishermen do a great job preserving the heritage of the area.
"My son and I watched the fishing after presenting the smocks and he will be using the lave net fishery as a subject for his school project next term," he added.
The last day of the fishing season at Black Rock takes place today.
Visitors can have a look around the net house there from 12.30pm.
