BLAENAVON Heritage VC Primary School will be having their official opening on Wednesday, September 12.
The mayor of Torfaen Wayne Tomlinson will be attending the event to see children making use of the new facilities in the £13 million school.
The new school replaced two schools in Blaenavon, and has 450 places to accommodate all the primary school aged children in the town.
The school also includes a 130-place nursery and is linked to community leisure facilities including a two-court sports hall, dance studio, fitness suite and external multi-use games area.
Blaenavon Heritage VC Primary School is Torfaen's largest capital school project.
