Your cup of sympathy runneth over. Without having any facts you assume that it his his own fault that he is in this situation. Moron.

It may be a coincidence but the police were called and escorted a man of the footbridge who had been threatening to jump nearer mid day.

Possibly the same person?

How else did he end up in the water? THERE is railings along that path so there is no need for him to end up in the water. I draw your attention the MHerbie's comment. If it is the same person, like I said, charge him.

Foillow up Call me a moron before you knew the facts. Whos the moron now? It is reported in the Argus that this person was swimming in the USK. Got into trouble. Rescue Services were called. They have better things to do than go and rescue idiots who go swimming the what is known as the second dangerous river in the world. Charge him the cost of the rescue which will be in the thousands. The cost incurred by the rescue service has been wasted. Charge him then maybe other people will relise that those who do stupid idiotic actions should suffer with being charged.
