If you had to be stuck in a lift with someone, who would it be and why?
It would need to be some one who at one level is reassuring, ie, not someone who panics, but also someone who would be a good laugh who would help pass away the time. Paddy Ashdown might fit the bill.
What is your biggest fear?
I do have a fear of heights.
Do you have any superstitions?
NO. As a man of Christian faith, superstitions are alien to me.
If you could have only one song on your iPod, what would it be and why?
Land of Hope and Glory - Yes I am totally patriotic.
What’s the most expensive thing you’ve bought, not including property?
My army Mess Kit.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
To accept the things I cannot change.
What’s your indulgence?
Food and wine.
What item could you not live without?
My Bible and my iPad.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why?
Nothing, I am totally content with the way God made me.
Where are you next going on holiday?
Malta. I always go to the Med for a winter break, and this will be my third visit to Malta.
