A MOTHER who left the Royal Gwent Hospital with her newborn baby is still missing this morning, police say.
A spokesman for Gwent Police said the force is still searching for them. The woman, 19, had left the Royal Gwent Hospital on Thursday hours after giving birth in the morning.
She took her newborn baby at 4.30pm.
Gwent Police launched a missing person inquiry for the mum and baby as they were concerned for the mother's well-being.

Police are hunting for a vulnerable mother who went missing with her newborn child.
The woman, 19, left Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport, against doctors' advice just hours after giving birth.
She took her newborn baby from the maternity unit with her at 4.30pm.
Gwent Police launched a missing person inquiry for the mum and baby as they were concerned for the mother's well-being.
She had only given birth in the early hours of this morning.
Buildings, grounds and car parks of the hospital on Cardiff Road were being searched in the hunt for the missing woman and her infant.
