A BEAUTY queen will be flying out to Portugal next week to compete in the Miss European beauty pageant.
Emily Morgan, 20, of Tredegar, who was named Miss Blaenau Gwent 2011 and competed in Miss Wales last year, will be part of a team of six girls from Wales to take part in the event.
The competition will see the team fly out on Monday and compete against 12 other European countries at the Adriana Beach resort in a week-long final.
Miss Morgan, who is studying hairdressing at Coleg Gwent and also runs her own teeth whitening business Teeth by Emily Jane, thanked Nathan Reeves at Gwent MoTs who has sponsored her for the event.
She said: “I am really excited about the event but also petrified.”
