Tom Wood, from RWA Business Consultants, in Blaeavon, has been named a winner at the 10th annual Leading Wales Awards, now in their tenth year, which champion leadership across Wales.

Tom, a director at RWA, was named winner of the Leadership For The Future category, supported by Cynnal Cymru – Sustain Wales at this year’s awards, in association with Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Tom was one of 24 finalists across eight categorie.

Barbara Chidgey, spokesperson for the Leading Wales Awards, said: “A significant milestone has been reached this year with the awards celebrating its tenth anniversary. It’s been another highly successful year of uncovering many individual leaders that really are having impact in our businesses, public and community services and charities all around Wales. Exceptional leadership in all sectors and at all levels of responsibility is essential if we are to build “The Wales We Want”. Each of our finalists is indeed just that – an exceptional leader.”

Tom Wood said: “Winning this particular award is extremely important to us. At RWA we believe not only in building a sustainable future for our company, but working with other businesses and groups throughout the UK to help them grow and achieve their own objectives. We have a very clear commitment to giving our team the opportunities to develop their skills and knowledge so that we can nurture a workforce that is creative, innovative and proud in the work they do for the company and in the local community as we continue to grow.

On a personal level, this award will open up a lot of doors for me to go and meet other business leaders in Wales and beyond so that we can share ideas, technologies and knowledge to help build the ‘Wales We Want’ that Barbara speaks of.”
