FIVE MINUTES WITH: Carmel Napier Chief Constable of Gwent
FIVE minutes with with Carmel Napier Chief Constable of Gwent.
IF YOU had to be stuck in a lift with someone, who would it be and why?
Hillary Clinton – because she has achieved so much and handled many difficulties in her life and come through it triumphantly.
What is your biggest fear? Eating fish – any kind, always hated it!
Do you have any superstitions?
I always avoid walking under ladders
If you could have only one song on your iPod, what would it be and why?
Eva Cassidy – Somewhere over the Rainbow from the Songbird album
What’s the most expensive thing you’ve bought, not including property?
Jewellery – diamond earrings
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given? Be true to yourself.
What’s your indulgence?
White chocolate truffles and wine.
What item could you not live without?
Sat nav – how did we manage without them?! These days we’re lucky, many people can just use their smartphone to find their way around!
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why?
To be less sensitive to criticism – I try my very best to take feedback as a gift, and use it to help provide the best policing service possible to the people of Gwent.
Where are you next going on holiday?
Cyprus – (hopefully) reliable sunshine and the one place I know I can switch off.
