EBBW FACH TREKKERS: On April 4, after a cold and breezy start, 26 walkers strolled the four miles around the Blorenge (Iron mountain). We soon warmed up and were treated to some good views of the Usk valley and Black Mountains, and then afterwards dropped in to The Racehorse Inn Waunavon for coffee.

The walk at Tretower on April 8 was cancelled due to ill health, but Chris Thorn stood up and led a small group on a hard walk to the monument to the Canadian crew of flight R1645, a Wellington bomber that crashed at Caerfanell during WW2.

18 walkers, led by Steve Davies, attended the Arial Mountain six miles circular on April 11 including two new members.

On April 18, a small group climbed the Pen y Fan and The Cribyn, a nine miles hard circular.

On the walk at Winchestown Brynmawr on April 25, there were 16 walkers on a shorter walk than usual, just three miles. It was led by Kerry Livesy who gave a history lesson based on the activities in the area during the Industrial Revolution. The walk finished with a coffee stop at the Willows in Brynmawr.

On May 2, Chris Thorn led the walk starting from Llanhhilleth. After a steep climb to Upper Llanover, the walkers headed towards Crumlin and passed through some ancient woodland with its beautiful spreads of bluebells, then returned along a lower path to Llanhilleth Institute for coffee.
