SCHOOL EVENT: The annual High Cross Primary School Summer Fair took place on Saturday July 1.
Every year they try to have different experiences and this year there was a incredible bake off event. Participants were invited to create their own cake and come along to be part of the competition.
Rogerstone Cllr Chris Evans, who helped judged the bake off said, “I’ve ever eaten too much delicious cake! Well done to all involved, I’d also like to thank the mayor of Newport, Cllr David Foulweather for opening the day and staying for several hours.
“Can I also pay tribute to the wonderful PTA at Highcross for organising the day, the PTA have raised thousands of pounds which has been spent to improve the school, they work tirelessly, thank you for the invite and for all you do.”
