THREE convicted robbers who escaped from Monmouthshire’s Prescoed prison have been taken back into custody.

The Argus reported how Jason Morris, 38, Stephen Booth, 34, and John Phillips, 28, absconded from the open prison on Tuesday.

A Gwent police spokeswoman said the three men had been located and taken into police custody and will be returned to prison authorities.
