ILLUSIONIST Dynamo is the latest celebrity to raise a hand for the For Luca appeal.

The magician, who counts Jay Z and Will Smith among his army of fans, posed with his trademark ace of hearts playing-card, signed “To Luca, from Dynamo” in support of four-year-old meningitis survivor Luca Williams.

The picture, which also features a blue wristband supporting the campaign, has been posted on the For Luca Twitter and Facebook pages.

His Newport-born parents, Mo Syed and Sian Williams, who regularly keep his thousands offollowers informed of his progress, wrote: “So a simple request to someone who has the same piercing blue eyes as you seemed fitting.

Yep, you guessed correct...

ladies and gentlemen we give you Dynamo.

“Raising not only his hand but the card he signed for Luca that is now stored in a case as a treasured gift. This has to be the coolest Hand Up For Luca.”

Brave Luca was given just a 3 per cent chance of survival after being struck down by meningococcal septicaemia in January 2012.

He spent two weeks in a medically induced coma and eventually lost his lower legs to the condition.

But his determination sparked a £1.5 million fundraising campaign, backed by The Tree of Hope Children’s Charity, to buy him prosthetic legs throughout his lifetime.

Hundreds of celebrities, including Diego Maradona and the Welsh rugby team, have shown their support by writing For Luca on their hands. To donate visit www.justgiving.com/forluca
