Winifred Smith gets ready to blow out her candles on her birthday cake after turning 102
A MARSHFIELD resident has celebrated turning 102.
Winifred Smith, originally from Duffryn, was presented with a homemade birthday cake by staff at Pentwyn House Nursing Home in Marshfield on Sunday.
Care assistant Laura Woolfall said a little party was held by the care staff in the home.
“Winnie enjoyed the candles on her cake and really enjoyed her birthday tea," she said.
“All the staff at Pentwyn House wished Winnie a happy 102nd Birthday.”
Mrs Smith has lived at Pentwyn House since 2012 and has regularly visits from her niece and best friend Cathy.
She was described by staff as “always wanting to look her best”.
