GWENT Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault that took place outside the Queen’s Hotel in Newport.
The assault happened at around 5.10pm on Friday, March 3, 2017.
A 29-year-old man was walking down Bridge Street when he was punched to the face by an unknown man in an unprovoked attack.
The male offender is described as being white, around 5ft 8 and of slim build with dark short hair and wearing a black jacket with a fur lined hood.
The victim was knocked to the floor and received a bleeding nose.
He was taken to hospital but is now recovering at home.
The offender ran off in the direction of Baneswell Stores.
