A MAN has been taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital after a car crash in Newport.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokeswoman said they were called at 5.08pm yesterday to reports of a crash involving one car on Monnow Way, Bettws.
They sent a rapid response unit and an ambulance.
A Gwent Police spokeswoman said: "At approximately 5.10pm yesterday, Thursday 25 May, we received reports of a road traffic collision between a car and a pedestrian on Monnow Way in Bettws.
"A 29-year-old man was taken to hospital by ambulance. His injuries are no longer thought to be life threatening or life changing. Enquiries are ongoing."
