THOUSANDS of pounds worth of stock has been stolen from a comic book store in Newport.
Thieves are said to have broken into Sin City Comics in Commercial Street, Newport, between 2am and 9am yesterday.
They got away with a Mac laptop pro worth £1,500, £200 in cash, as well as 250 tickets for the comic-con GeekFest.
Owner Shane Jordan said damage and stock taken will cost around £5,000 to £6,000.
"The place was literally ransacked," he said.
"Comic books have been knocked down from the shelves, stand up boards have been destroyed and stuff has been left all over the place."
The store has been closed for the day.
