TINY Rebel has won an award at the Food and Drink Federation Awards 2017.

The ceremony, held last night at London's The Brewery, celebrated businesses and industry professionals from across the food and drink supply chain. At the award ceremony, the company won the category Regional Growth Business For Wales.

Due to recent demand in both the UK and abroad, Tiny Rebel recently invested £2.6 million in a new brewery, along with offices, a brewery tap, a shop and visitor centre for tours and events.

With this increased capacity Tiny Rebel has been able to drive sales in existing export destinations as well as explore new opportunities in growing markets.

Ian Wright CBE, director general of the Food and Drink Federation, said: “The awards truly are a badge of excellence and Tiny Rebel’s triumph in the new Regional Growth Business category for Wales recognises the success and determination of the business to expand since its launch.

“Food and drink in Wales is an economic success story and has become a vital part of Welsh national identity. It is great to see thriving businesses like Tiny Rebel take the best of Wales’ food and drink tradition and make it global."

Trefor Griffith, of food and beverage at Grant Thornton UK LLP, added: “Businesses have been navigating an uncertain environment following the UK’s decision to leave the European Union, so it is great to see dynamic businesses like Tiny Rebel unlocking their potential for growth.

"We're delighted to be able to celebrate the contribution businesses like Tiny Rebel make to their region, the sector and the UK as a whole as we continue to work with leading food and drink firms across the UK.”
