A CYCLIST who was taken to hospital after a crash with a car is in a "stable condition."
Police and ambulance were called at around 2.45pm to the crash in High Street, Newbridge, on Sunday.
The cyclist, a 61-year-old man, was taken to Royal Gwent Hospital accident and emergency unit.
A spokesman for Gwent Police said: "At approximately 2.50 pm on Sunday, October 15 we received reports of a collision involving a car and a cyclist on the High Street Newbridge.
"The cyclist, a 61-year-old man was taken to hospital and is in a stable condition."
