PART of a Pontypool car park will reopen temporarily next week.
The top two floors of the Riverside car park will be reopened until essential maintenance work can be completed.
Around 80 spaces on the two floors have been unavailable since October last year to allow for the floors to be resurfaced but the severe winter weather has delayed works.
A temporary surface will now be laid but due to further freezing weather being forecasted and to ease pressure on parking spaces in the town, the council has decided to reopen the floors until conditions improve.
When the remaining resurfacing work is rescheduled, the floors will then be closed for around 15 working days.
A council spokesman apologised for any inconvenience caused.
