BLAENAU Gwent council has recently completed work as part of the £12.5 million scheme to refurbish Ebbw Vale town centre.
This includes improving the streetscape at Spencer Street, Church Crescent through to Church Street, Armoury Hill and Armoury Terrace.
Artist Sebastien Boyesen, creator of the Guardian sculpture in Six Bells, has produced the first public artwork for the Armoury Hill area.
Further works include the refurbishment of Mount Street and the creation of an events area at the back of the former Ebbw Vale Institute.
Thirteen commercial properties have already been refurbished as part of the Ebbw Vale regeneration, with a further two refurbishment schemes currently ongoing.
The first two phases of the Cross Valley Links have also been completed providing pedestrian access from the Ebbw Vale town centre to The Works site.
