A GROUP of budding filmmakers from Ebbw Vale will be given the chance to work alongside industry professionals thanks to £27,973 of lottery funding.
The project, co-ordinated by the Ebbw Vale and District Trust, will see 75 teenagers, who are not in education, training or employment, or from deprived areas, create three hard-hitting dramas on issues relevant to them.
These include the potential consequences of taking drugs, anti-social behaviour and challenging adult perceptions of youth.
The funding, which will teach the 10-18 year-olds skills in filmmaking and improve their teamwork and confidence, was distributed through the national organisation First Light.
It gives young people the chance to work with industry professionals on digital media projects.
