The 40 year old cyclist who died after a crash on the Southern Distributor Road in Newport yesterday has been named as Andrew Leonard Chick from Newport.
The collision, between the car and the bicycle, occurred at approximately 7:50am at the junction of Usk Way.
The 61-year-old driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of death by careless driving and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
