MORE than 100 families took part in a walk on Sunday to remember children lost through miscarriage or stillbirth.
Cwmbran Walk to Remember saw families walk around Cwmbran Boating Lake before balloons were released in memory of children who have died.
The walk is now in its third year and was organised by Lane Lippiatt, from Cwmbran, who has lost four children to stillbirth and miscarriage.
The mother-of-two came up with the idea of the walk to raise money and awareness.
The money raised from the walks and other fundraising events has gone towards providing the Royal Gwent and Nevill Hall hospitals with equipment such as cameras and printers for parents to use for keepsakes.
Sunday’s walk, which also saw the sale of charms and baby loss ribbons, raised around £113. This will now go towards providing a cold cot for one of Gwent’s hospitals.
Candles were also given out to use on Monday as part of international baby loss awareness day.
