Monmouthshire council end recycling and composting contract
MONMOUTHSHIRE County Council said this afternoon they have ended its contract with Wormtech, the company that handles its green waste recycling and composting.
This follows a number of concerns about the service provided and the recent decision of the Environment Agency to suspend their operations at their operation site in Caerwent.
They say they Viridor will continue to run their recycling in the interim until a new contactor is appointed. They said there is no time scale for this process.

Anyone using the Caerwent 'Civic Amenity' site has my deepest sympathy you feel like a criminal as soon as you drive onto the site - no wonder fly-tippings on the increase. I miss our public service!

I think all those who are happily supporting this Tory Governments attacks on the Public Sector should be careful of what they wish for.
