England survived the sin-binning of Leeds Carnegie’s Dominic Barrow to win the Junior World Championship for the first time.
They trailed Wales 15-3 at half-time in Vannes, France, but recovered to win 23-15 yesterday, despite former Otley and Wharfedale loanee Barrow being yellow carded for kneeing in a ruck in the first half.
Exeter Chiefs’ Sam Nowell and Jack Hill scored tries for England, clubmate Henry Slade landing 13 points.
