NEWPORT is among three areas in Wales chosen to pioneer an Assembly-backed Integrated Family Support Team project, to protect and support vulnerable families.

Teams will comprise social workers, health visitors, family support workers and substance misuse experts.

Families affected by drug and alcohol will be first to benefit through the three-year, £1.8 million project.
