From the first weekend in July, St Michael's Church at Llanvihangel Crucorney will be offering teas and cakes for sale to its visitors. This lovely old church has recently enjoyed extensive renovations and improvements. It already has numerous visitors as the area is en route for the spectacular Llanthony Priory as well as being near Offa's Dyke for walking enthusiasts. Although refreshments will only be available on dry weekends during the summer, it is hoped that demand will ensure it becomes a permanent addition to village life. Local artists and crafts people are invited to display their work. On the opening weekend a selection of work produced by No Pity Products will be on sale. They train disabled people and those with learning disabilities to make useful creative items.
The aim is to get the whole community involved, so people with suggestions and/or contributors are invited to contact the organiser Christine Williams on 01873/890881.
