Has your fridge got the message? Join Data Link which is a emergency information scheme.
What is Data Link? It is a voluntary scheme for anyone living at home, who might be reassured to know that essential information would be readily available to the emergency services should they suffer an accident or illness. The scheme ensures that vital information is available not only to identify you, but to advise of relevant illness, allergies, medication and contact addresses.
This could safe your life, your life!
How does the scheme work? Your details are stored in a clearly labelled plastic container, which is kept in your fridge.
Two matching labels , known to the emergency services and other care agencies are displayed in your house, one on the outside of the fridge door and the other and the other on the inside, (so it is not visible from the outside), of your front door.
The scheme is approved by all emergency services. Packs can be collected from most doctors surgeries chemists or local Neighbourhood Watch schemes.
