EBENEZER GETS CRAFTY!: For all you ladies who enjoy crafting, here's one for you! Ebenezer Baptist Church is hosting a Ladies Craft Evening, on Tuesday, December 4 ,starting at 7.30pm.

PENYBONT TENANTS AND RESIDENTS: Newly-formed,Penybont Tenants and Residents Association will be holding a Christmas Table-Top sale at Penybont Scouts Hut, on Saturday, December 1, at noon.

Stalls will include Bric-a-Brac, Home Baking, Toys, Toiletries, Luck Dip, and lots more. Raffle tickets will be on sale for a Christmas hamper and many other prizes, and tea and coffee will be available.

ABERTILLERY COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL FRIENDS ASSOCIATION: The Friends Association of Abertillery Comprehensive School hold their Annual Autumn Fayre, on Friday, November 23, starting at 3pm in the school dining hall. There will be lots of stalls and attractions, including the grand prize draw with a first prize of £100 cash.

Please come along and support the pupils of the school - admission is free. The next meeting of the Friends Association will take place on November 28, at 5.45pm, in the school library.

SIX BELLS TENANTS & RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION: The Six Bells Tenants & Residents Association are holding their annual torch light parade on Friday, Decem-ber 7, commencing with a service at Bethany Chapel starting at 6pm.

Bryngwyn School Choir once again entertain us and prayers will be led by Father Mark Mesley.

From the chapel the procession will proceed up to Alexandra Road, where Father Christmas has promised to meet everyone to begin the big countdown to the switching on of the lights in the area.

Following this, everyone is invited to the Six Bells Working Men's Club where mulled wine and mince pies will be available and Father Christmas has promised to call in to meet the children and collect their Christmas lists.

There is also a grand prize draw with a first prize of £100 cash, which has kindly been donated by our local Borough Councillors Jim Watkins and Denzil Hancock.

Please come along and join us in getting the festive season off to a jolly start.

Can we take this opportunity to publiclythankour two BoroughCouncillors for the enormous amount of work that they do within and for the village, much of which is done with little or no publicity. We really do appreciate their help and support.

We hope that you enjoy the lights that we have once again erected for the people ofSix Bells thanks to the fundraising of the Tenants & Residents Association, who have this year raised £1,800 to erect the nine motifs that we have in the village.

You will see that we have two new additions to our motifs this year thanks to their tireless efforts.

The next meeting of the Tenants and Residents will take place on Monday, January 7, 2008, at Bethany Chapel.

We are constantly looking for new members to help us raise much needed funds. Please come along and join us and help us make Six Bells a better place to live.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE: Don't forget that shoeboxes can be left at This n That from now until November 28, when they will be collected and distributed to needy children in Third World countries.

Knitters to make finger puppets for the children are desperately needed. If you can spare the time to make a few, then please call in for a pattern.

GWENT WILDLIFE TRUST: Rodney Morris, Lee Parsons and Steve will give a display and talk about making bird boxes, supported by Gerry English, on Wednesday, November 21, at 7pm, in Aberbeeg Social Club.

Hopefully, this event will be well attended and enjoyed by all.

The " set up" and running of the Blaenau Gwent Local Group will be fully discussed in the near future, and so it is hoped that as many as possible will be present on November 21.

AUTUMN FAYRE: St. Paul's Church, Cwmtillery, will be holding their Autumn Fayre in St Michael's Church on Saturday, November 24, starting at 9am. There will be loads of bargains for all.

CHRISTMAS MARKET: At St Michael's Church they will be hosting a Christmas market on Thursday, November 29 from 10am. Go along and grab a bargain! Admission is FREE.

CLICKETY CLICK: The Stute will be holding bingo and a tote on Thursday, November 29, from 2pm till 3pm. Doors will be open at 1pm and everyone is welcome.

Please go along and support their efforts in keeping the Stute open.

CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES: In addition to the normal Thursday market in Abertillery, there will be a Continental Market on December 6 and 7, and it will be open from 9am-8pm on Thursday and 9am-4pm on Friday.

St Michael's Church will also be hosting a crafts/food fayre and bric-a-brac on Thursday and a concert given by Abertillery Comprehensive School will given in the evening.

Father Christmas will also be on hand for the turning on of the Christmas lights, and on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday the Ebenezer will be taking over a shop in Church Street and giving out free mince pies and videos.

LET'S BRUNCH AT THE PENIEL: Brunch will be available at Peniel Church Tillery Street, from 11am-1pm on Monday, December 3. There will be hot soup and bread rolls, toast, tea or coffee free of charge.
