During the first weekend in May in Cwmbran a French market was held in the town centre square to give our customers a sense of atmosphere the staff at the Ty Hafen charity shop which supports the children's hospice in Wales decided to take on a French theme.
All volunteers and manageress dressed in French costumes, eg onion sellers and one French maid. Black trousers striped shirts and berets plus strings of onions worn around the neck for them. Black fancy tights, short skirt, white blouse and apron for the maid.
The theme lasted for two days and the customers were all enjoying the fun. Mrs Liz Price, manageress, thanked everyone for their support.
Thanks must also go to Judith for manning the till for photo to be taken outside shop.
Ty Hafan shop is in General Rees Square.
Volunteers are always wanted so why not come and join this happy band of pilgrims. Please ask at shop for application form.
Many thanks to all who donate goods for sale in shop and to our loyal customers for their support. Keep a look out for more theme days.
