CHEQUE THIS OUT: Hard work and community spirit have paid off for residents at Taliesin Court, Cwmbran, who have been donated £1,500 from Awards for Wales to help brighten up their surroundings.
Torfaen AM Lynne Neagle presented the residents committee with a cheque which they plan to use towards re-decorating the communal lounge.
Speaking at the presentation she said: "It is really encouraging to hear of the excellent work being done by the residents and I am also delighted they have been successful raising funds.
"It is also pleasing that the residents have been recognised for their hard work, time and commitment that they have put into improving their environment," she added.
