A SERIES of roadworks and road closures will be in place in Newport this week ahead of the Ryder Cup.
These will be in place from Tuesday until October 4.
These include temporary road closures on the A449 interchange onto Bulmore Road which is for Ryder Cup coaches only, Abernant Road, Bulmore Road, Llantrisant Road and Catsash Road.
Permits will be required for access and parking on Bulmore Road between New Road and Isca Road, Bramley Close, Cambria Close, Centurion Gate, East Lynne Gardens, Granadier Drive, Lulworth Road, Rosecroft Drive, Russet Close, Silure Way, Spartan Close, Stockwood Close, Stockwood View and Twyn Oaks.
Newport City Council have also warned there will be a temporary prohibition of right turns on Steelworks Road to roads including Badland Street, Redwick Road, and to the junction opposite Badland Street.
There will also be a temporary 30 miles per hour speed limit on Steelworks Road almost up to its junction with the Redwick Road junction.
This temporary speed limit will also apply to the M4 junction 23 roundabout.
