THE Argus understands that Neath and Port Talbot Council will step in to take over executive power for education at Blaenau Gwent council.
The move comes after we revealed this morning that the Valleys council has failed its children in a damning Estyn inspection report.
Education Minister Leighton Andrews is set to announce that a board from Neath and Port Talbot council will adopt the decision making powers for education, with Blaenau Gwent retaining its power to scrutinise decision making at the Senedd this afternoon.
