CAPTURING him in an uncanny likeness, this is the first portrait of this year's Mayor of Newport.
The picture of Councillor Alan Morris, this year's Mayor of Newport, was created specially for him by pupils at Lliswerry Infants School.
The drawing made up the front page of a card and inside, pupils had written their thoughts on what the city's Mayor does.
From the quirky, "he likes to eat sausages" and "he wears silver pyjamas and a cape" to the insightful, "he drives around in a big car", Councillor Morris was clearly touched by the effort and thought pupils put in.
"I'm absolutely thrilled with it," he told a Newport council meeting this week.
