Last week’s photograph was of Chepstow High Street from 1909.
THE picture is of Chepstow looking down from the Archway.
I worked at Beachley army camp, Beachley, just outside Chepstow in the 1950s.
Actually, it hasn’t changed a lot going down on the left then, was a very smart ladies dress shop “Zelda’s.”.
There I bought my first grown up organza dress, near the new bank was a tall statue of a man on a horse.
I forget who it was.
I would like to hear from anyone who has worked at the camp at that time.
