NEWPORT Gwent Dragons backs Hallam Amos and Tom Prydie will train with the Wales squad this week following yesterday’s 24-15 defeat by South Africa which saw injuries to centre Jonathan Davies and wing Liam Williams.

The pair have been called up along with Scarlets props Samson Lee and Rhodri Jones, who join the squad following injury to tighthead Adam Jones in the tough encounter with the Springboks.

Uncapped 19-year-old Dragons back Amos has scored two tries in his eight outings for the region this season and has made 26 appearances since making his debut for the Dragons aged 17.

Prydie became the youngest player to play for Wales when he made his debut in the 2010 RBS 6 Nations against Italy aged 18 years and 25 days.

He has gone on to make five appearances for Wales, earning his last cap on the summer tour to Japan.

Lee played for Wales Under 20 during the 2012 Six Nations Championship and in the IRB Junior World Championship in South Africa in the same year. He has played seven times for the Scarlets this season.

Jones, 21, made his debut for Wales against the Barbarians in June 2012 and earned his second cap a year later on the summer tour to Japan.

The squad will meet up tomorrow to prepare for their second Dove Men Series fixture against Argentina at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday, (KO 14:30).

Ospreys wing Eli Walker (hamstring) and Cardiff Blues fly-half Rhys Patchell (shoulder) have returned to their regions for further treatment.

Medical assessments following yesterday’s match are on-going and further information will be available tomorrow.
