NEWPORT Gwent Dragons teenager Hallam Amos will stay with the Wales squad for the rest of the autumn series after impressing in training.

The 19-year-old wing/full-back has spent the week in the international camp at the Vale of Glamorgan ahead of Saturday’s Test against Argentina at the Millennium Stadium.

His services are not required against the Pumas after Liam Williams recovered from a bang to the head to slot in on the wing.

But Amos impressed the Wales coaching staff and will be in contention to make a Test debut against Tonga a week on Friday.

With James Hook set to start at fly-half against the Pacific Islanders, Warren Gatland has limited options in the back three if he opts to give Leigh Halfpenny or George North a breather ahead of the finale with Australia.

The teenager, a first year medical student at Cardiff University, is likely to feature for the Dragons in the LV= Cup against London Wasps at Rodney Parade on Saturday (kick-off midday).

His regional teammate Tom Prydie was also called up to help Wales in their preparations but suffered a hamstring injury on Tuesday.
