New date for County v Wimbledon

WHILE Newport County AFC battle to ensure that tomorrow's home clash with Oxford United (kick-off 3pm) will go ahead, a new date has been set for the visit of AFC Wimbledon.

A statement on afcwimbledon.co.uk reads: "We can confirm that Wimbledon’s match at Newport County has been rescheduled for Tuesday, 11 February (7.45 pm kick-off).

"This match at Rodney Parade was originally scheduled for Saturday, 21 December, but it was postponed after a 12.15 pm pitch inspection."

well considering that both teams are not in cup action over the weekend ,I would think that Saturday would have been a better date than mid week,ifeel sorry for the travelling fans ,that made the effort to get there and may not be able to attend this time, as will as county fans.Just one question was the person responsible for the new website , also responsible for rearranging this match!!!!!! (happy new year to everyone and a county promotion 2014)

But we already have a game on Saturday - at home to Northampton!
