NEWPORT County AFC face a trip to Southend United of Sky Bet League One in the first round of next season's Carabao Cup.
The Exiles were drawn at home but the game, set for the week starting Monday, August 7, will be switched to Roots Hall in Essex while a new pitch is laid at Rodney Parade.
County knew before today that if they were handed a home draw then the tie would be reversed.
The EFL had already given the club permission to play away until August 26 in order to allow the hybrid Desso surface to be laid.
