NEWPORT County AFC have announced that they will be closing part of Rodney Parade for the next two matches following an incident in the recent match against Carlisle United.
A club statement reads: "Regrettably Newport County AFC will be closing part of the Hazell Terrace for the next two EFL League Two home matches against Lincoln City and Exeter City.
"The decision to close the area of the terrace directly behind the dugouts has been taken following an incident at the last home match against Carlisle United which saw objects thrown into the technical areas.
"The FA are currently investigating the incident which is of a similar nature to the incident which occurred at the Blackpool match last season.
"Newport County AFC is a family-friendly club and will not tolerate such behaviour within Rodney Parade or at any fixture involving the club.
"If any supporter(s) have any information in relation to the matter, they are asked to make contact by either emailing supporterservices@newport-county.co.uk or alternatively by phoning 01633 481896 and asking to speak to CEO Alex Tunbridge."
