TOBY Faletau goes straight from a head-to-head with one world great to another encounter with one of the finest number eights on the globe, writes Chris Kirwan.

Seven days after battling with Italy’s Sergio Parisse, the Newport Gwent Dragons forward could be locking horns with France’s Imanol Harinordoquy.

Faletau made some telling carries in the first half against the Azzurri, but as the 21-year-old admitted, it wasn’t one of his most eye-catching performances.

However, he will be looking to lead the charge as Wales bid to clinch a third Grand Slam in eight years.

And according to Faletau it is the motivation of becoming Six Nations champions that is providing the motivation rather than the heartbreak of their World Cup last-four loss to France.

"In a way a win would make up for the disappointment of the semi-final but that defeat will always be there," he said.

"This is just another game that we need to win. We’ve moved on from the World Cup and the boys are playing well and winning.

"It was a tough game against Italy. We couldn’t quite finish them off and that’s something to work on for France. But it was all about getting the win and now we can fully focus on Saturday."
