READY FOR BATTLE: Torfaen Warriors boxers
TORFAEN Warriors and Cwmbran Amateur Boxing Club are staging a joint show at Pontnewydd Working Men’s Club on Friday night.
There will be between 10 and 12 bouts and the boxing will start at 8pm.
Various Welsh amateur champions will be in action and Benji Edmonds, older brother of former Newport pro Matthew Edmonds, will be stepping back into the ring after 14 years away.
The 33-year-old has fought 87 times, winning 65, and he is coming out of retirement in an attempt to get to 100 bouts.
Tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for children and will be available on the door at Pontnewydd Working Men’s Club and not Pontnewynydd Working Men’s Club as previously stated.
