NEWPORT’S attack will feature Ashes-winning pace bowler Simon Jones in the Swalec Premier League next year while seamer Huw Waters makes a welcome return to Usk.
All-rounder Chris Ashling will join Jones at Spytty Park and big-hitting wicket-keeper batsman Chris Cooke heads to Usk.
Waters has been given the all clear after suffering a stress fracture of his back last season and will return to play for the Monmouthshire club after they secured promotion to the top flight at
the first attempt following their 2010 relegation.
Other notable Glamorgan player allocations are captain Mark Wallace sticking with Port Talbot, Ynysygerwn benefiting from ex-Newport opener Gareth Rees and former Panteg seamer John Glover while
Cwmbran’s Will Bragg will feature for Bridgend.
