TWO teenagers from Dovercourt have come first and second in a Dancer of the Year competition.
Emily Clements, 16, of Bridal Avenue, beat fellow Boogie Shoes Dance Academy student Chloe Carmen, 14, of Bullfinch Close, to top spot in the competition.
The open freestyle and rock n roll dance competition was held at Sudbury Leisure Centre and the dance academy also came away with 120 places at the finals and the over-16 team won for the third consecutive time.
BSDA Principal, Katie Dalby, said: “The girls were both so nervous for this event but worked so hard. They truly deserved to be placed where they were."
