NEWPORT County's U18s will play Cardiff City in the second round of the FAW Youth Cup.

The match, likely to be at Spytty Park, must be played on or before October 27.

Meanwhile, there were mixed results again for County's two U18 sides at the weekend.

In the Football League Youth Alliance Cup, County lost their first group stage match 4-0 at local rivals Bristol Rovers.

But the U18s returned to winning ways in the South West Counties Youth League with a 5-2 win against Swindon's New College Academy on the Velodrome 3G with goals from Aaron Collins, Jack Davies, Nathan Doe, Brad Flay and Harry Southall.

This Saturday the U18s are at home to Plymouth Argyle in the FLYA Cup (11am kick off) and away to Salisbury City in the SWCYL (10.30am kick off).
